A new Pokemon TCG set will be released in mainland China in a few weeks from now. its Team Rocket theme has already sparked a lot of interest among collectors and enthusiasts. Under the “Chasing Glory Together” name this set may become one of the more popular offerings in China throughout 2026. But what makes this release even remotely exciting?
Chasing Glory Together Catches Attention
This is probably one of the strongest Chinese Pokémon releases of the summer—not necessarily because of the cards themselves, but because of how the product is distributed. It is also, so far, the only confirmed set to release in China as of right now. However, there will likely be some summer-themed gift boxes throughout July and August 2026.
One thing to keep in mind is how this set has 2 release versions. Chasing Glory Together comes in normal booster boxes and jumbo booster boxes. Unlike Japanese booster boxes, the Jumbo version comes with guaranteed Art Rares and Secret Rares. That dramatically lowers variance and makes opening boxes feel much more consistent.
For collectors chasing the region-exclusive Brock SAR specifically, current estimates place the card around one copy every 18–24 booster boxes. That isn’t “easy” to pull, but it is considerably more predictable than many Japanese SAR chase cards.
Sourcing Challenges Are Very Real
The biggest challenge won’t be pull rates. Those are fairly transparent and, given the seeded Art Rares and Secret Rares, make every jumbo booster box worthwhile. Keep in mind the smaller booster boxes are likely unseeded. Pulls can be fantastic, or complete “duds”. No official pull rates for those have been unveiled at this time.
For collectors, the core challenge will simply be finding sealed products. Not because it does not exist, but due to the logistics behind the scenes. Chinese releases often disappear very quickly outside China, particularly for popular chase cards. Timing and patience will be crucial for anyone trying to obtain this set.
If you’re planning to collect sealed products, ordering within the first month is usually the safest approach.
Who should buy Chasing Glory Together?
Everyone is free to buy or ignore this set. From a collector’s point of view, this set will most likely appeal to:
- People who enjoy opening up Pokemon TCG product
- Collectors who love trainer cards
- Anyone wanting a good balance between money spent and consistent pulls
- Collectors willing to import directly OR who have good second market contacts
That said, there are also valid reasons to skip Chasing Glory Together:
- If you only care about Pokemon SARs, there are better options
- Dislike of jumbo-format boxes and booster packs
- Preferring Japanese print quality (Chinese cards are a bit more flimsy)

• Buy one sealed box for the collection.
• Open one box for the experience.
• Wait several weeks before purchasing expensive singles [only if I feel the need to]
• Skip trying to complete the set through sealed product.
Collector’s Verdict (Pre-Release)
Based on everything we know today, this looks like one of the more collector-friendly Chinese releases of 2026. The guaranteed Art Rares make opening significantly less volatile than Japanese or Korean products, although international availability is likely to be the biggest obstacle.
